Kyle's First Field Trip

Kyle got to go on his first field trip yesterday. And I got to go with him. We went to an apple orchard in Cedaredge. It was tons of fun.

Everyone getting off the bus. There was about 50 kids and about 10 parents that rode the bus. More parents drove up themselves.

We split up into three different groups. Our first activity was riding on a hay wagon. We went up and down a few of the rows of trees while breathing diesel fumes and listening to a lady tell us all about the orchard. It was really interesting to me and the other parents, the kids weren't super impressed.

At our next stop we had some graham crackers and apple cider. And the lady told us all about the trees and what they are doing through all the seasons. Again very interesting to me, the kids liked the crackers and cider.

Janie's class went the same day as us. Kyle and Morgan B. are pretty good buddies.

The last one was learning how to pick apples. All the kids got to pick and eat their apples.

This guy was pretty funny. The kids even got into this one.

He twisted an apple to cut it in half.

It was pretty impressive.

We got back on the bus and went back to the school and had lunch. I had alot of fun hanging out with Kyle, I was glad that I got to go with him.
