This week Kyle turned 4 years old. He has been waiting for the day he turned 4 since the day one of his best friends turned 4. Spencer turned 5 in December so Kyle already wants to be 5. He is getting to big to fast! Anyway he wanted to have a dinosaur party (in case you haven't noticed he LOVES dinosaurs). So we had his party on Wednesday, his friends party was at 3:00 and his family party was at 6:00. It was a busy day. I cleaned the house then started in on the big dinosaur cake. The cake took about 2 hours to decorate and was very stressful at times but I finished and I think it turned out pretty cute. The boys were supposed to be taking a nap but were so pumped up that they didn't sleep at all. So after I got everything cleaned up and ready for the party friends started coming. I had Brittony come a little early to help set up (which didn't take to long. Then when all the friends came they all played for a little bit in the boys room and according to Zoey there was a situation with the animals) then we played a few games. The first game was a relay they had to put on a pair of dinosaur feet and run around a chair holding an egg in a spoon. Kyle and JD went first since they had already had been playing with the feet. It was so cute but I don't think any of them really got it Kyle was walking really slow and not really going anywhere but finally went around the chair. But JD started walking and Zoey being helpful grabbed the end of the spoon and the egg in both hands and was leading JD all over the kitchen. After everyone who wanted to try that game had a turn all the kids got a balloon that they could sit on and try to pop it and get the prize inside. That was so funny to see all the moms trying to get their kids to sit on a balloon just to get a good laugh at how scared they were to pop it. After we cleaned up all the popped balloons we sat down and they had cupcakes (yes cupcakes I know I made a cake but by this time I was so attached to it I couldn't cut into it and I had to save some of it for the family party) none of the kids understood why we were no having cake. I don't think they saw the crazed look in my eyes every time one of them got to close to it. Anyway I think everyone had a good time. After everyone was gone I got ready for the next party. I got the house cleaned up again and sat down for a little while. At 6:00 Matt's parents and brother, and Dale's got here. Rachel helped make hamburgers while the boys played with Shayna. A while latter Brian and Sean got here. Kyle was so happy that Dale's came. Before everyone was done eating Ken got called and had to leave. So being polite I asked if he wanted some cake before he had to go. I don't think he saw the crazed look in my eyes when I had to cut a piece of the cake before we even sang Happy Birthday. Anyway everything else was very nice. Kyle and JD were so happy when they went to bed. They fell asleep so fast! Thank you everyone for coming or sending a card to make Kyle's Birthday "the best day ever!"
