Basketball Season 2013

Basketball started a few weeks ago.  JD is finally able to play and he loves it!  They each got a shirt and a new ball.  At the end of practice they took team and individual pictures.  I am cheap so I took my own.

 These are all the Second Graders.  Kyle is the first boy on the second row.  He knows most of the kids in his group.

For some reason I couldn't get the pictures to upload in the right order.  Kyle warming up in his line.

 When they first get to the gym they can shoot for a little while until it is time to line up and do some ball handling.

 Then they split up into different groups around the gym and practice lay-ups, passing and shooting, and dribbling.

 Then at the end they usually play some kind of relay or dribbling game.
Their practice starts at 8am on Saturday mornings.  It is pretty early to get up on Saturday but we sure have a good time and the boys love it.  It is fun to see how much they improve from week to week.
