Fishing On the Mesa

We were able to get up to Grand Mesa to fish quite a bit.  We Loved It!!  It was so nice to be able to get out of town and up where it was cool.

 Kyle's first fish of the Summer.  We all caught one that day and came home and fried them up. 

 JD loves to go up because it usually means he gets a soda.

 So Matt came home from work one day and told me he bought a boat.  He couldn't wait to get out on it.  So even though it was raining....no not raining pouring....he decided we should go up and fish.  Ken and Janie came up and had a little picnic with us.

 The last week of Summer we went up one more time and met the Pietaks.  Matt and Garrett hoped on the boat and took off.

 Kyle helping me get some fire wood.  We weren't able to go camping this year so I told Matt that I at least wanted a fire and cook hot dogs and have s'mores.

 Garrett and Stacy had to leave later in the afternoon so we all went out on the boat and fished and fished!

 We borrowed some of Garrett's  bait and started reeling them in!

 JD was super pumped he caught one.

 I also told Matt that I wanted to sit around the fire and not leave until we absolutely had to.  So he got out his fly pole and caught another ton of fish.  Me and the boys sat around the fire.  I lost count of how many s'mores I had.

Being in the mountains with my family is one of my most favorite places to be.  It is so relaxing and peaceful.  I can't believe our Summer is over.
