Is It Over Yet!

Who knew October could be such a crazy month?  Not me!  It totally snuck up on me.  Kyle and JD were both in football this year for the first time.  It was tons of fun but since they are in two different age groups we had football four nights a week all month.
 Kyle team was the Cowboys.

He played defense mostly and did a great job when he finally got the hang of it.
The red team is Kyle's friends, Ty and Spencer's, team.

Jordon Johnson, another one of Kyle's friends, was on his team.

Oh, Matt did all the farm work to get the winter wheat planted.
 JD's team was the Bills.

He had his friends, Tyler, Kyler, Kaysen, and Rhett, on his team.

JD also did a great job once he got the idea.

JD had some kind of tummy bug that kept him up all night one weekend.  The next day they were both playing quietly in their room and I found him sound asleep.  Poor little boy.

Kyle had a field trip to Escalante Canyon.
They learned all about the plants in the area.

 They saw Indian drawings.
And learned about bugs that are there to kill a bad tree.
Also about birds or prey.  After all that learning we went to the park and ate lunch and played.
The Yost's invited us to a neighborhood fall party and hay ride.

There was some great food and fun things.

The first day of Fall Break me and the boys got up real early and got ready so we could make it to Bowie to watch Matt come out.  The boys got to see him all black from the coal.  After Matt got all cleaned up we went and had breakfast.

During our Fall Break we wanted to take some kind of fun trip with the boys.  We ended up just going to Ouray.  First, we stopped and went fishing.

Well Matt and JD fished.  Kyle played and I played with my camera.

We were really excited to take the boys to the hot springs.  When we got there we saw that the pool was closed because they were cleaning it.  So the boys just played in the hot tub.

Our hotel was right on the river.  It was very pretty.

We took a small hike to Cascade Waterfall.

Then we decided to ride to Telluride and take the boys on the gondola.

 It of course was snowing.

The next morning we woke up to all this snow!  It was awesome!

We had a big snowball fight.

 More football.

 Matt helped coach JD's team.

JD was so cute when he got down and ready.

Kyle's team had a pizza party at the end of their season.

I think he is a good lookin boy!
A few days before Halloween the pumpkin patch let the kids from Lincoln Elem. go and pick a pumpkin and go through the maze.

Janie met us there and went through the maze with us.  We may have been lost a few times but it didn't really take us too long to get all the way out.

When we got back we carved pumpkins and had caramel corn.

When we were done we went to the park and played basketball.

It was fun to play with the boys.  They are getting really good.

Matt and I went fishing the next day.  The river was to high to do to much but it was really pretty anyway.

Then finally it was the last day of October!  Halloween!  We took the boys to Trunk-or-Treat.  Matt took the boys around for a bit and I handed out candy.  Then we just let them run around for awhile.
They were Ninjas.  You might not be able to tell.  They took off all they costumes within the first 10 minutes.  Then you see Matt holding their buckets and both boys not in site.

Back to where we started.  Throwing the football!
It is finally November and I was super excited to change the calendar off of October.  It was fun to watch the boys play football, and they loved it.  I know that we are going to be more and more busy the bigger they get but its nice to have a little break now.
Some of the pictures I put on didn't make it for some reason but I feel like we get the idea, October was CRAZY!
