He had to go to school on his birthday so he woke up to balloons.
He wanted "Lego Movie" cake and cupcakes. So I took the same cupcakes to his class as I did last year with the Lego candy on top.
He was so cute sitting up there getting sung to.
That night we had pizza and cake. Pietak's came over for the party.
Matt and JD got him an awesome camo backpack.
And of course he got Legos!
We love Kyle so much. He is a great big brother and loves his family. He is so sweet to everyone.
Matt's Grandma Josie came in March to visit for a few days. It was so good to see her. It has been a few years. The boys loved seeing her too.
For 4-H Kyle had to take a Hunter's Safety class so he could do his archery. I thought it was a class for kids that I could drop him off and pick him up later that day. I was very wrong. JD and I took him up to the class and there was no way I could leave him. They were supposed to just sit there all day and listen to the man talk and talk and talk! So JD and I also got our Hunter's Safety cards. On the second day we took our test and all passed and then we got to go to the shooting range and shoot a .22. I'm just glad I don't have to ever do that class again!
Kyle wanted to do archery but he needed the real deal bow and arrows. So we got him all set up. He loves it. He does a great job.
During Spring Break Kyle was out with Matt and JD riding his dirt bike and fell off and fractured his ankle. He has been so tough! We are almost 3 weeks into a 6 week, boot and crutches with no weight on it at all, ordeal. It has been super stressful on me. I just want him to be done with it. I hate seeing him struggle doing the things he loves. JD also hates it. He misses playing outside with his brother. Kyle should get the boot off the day before school is out. The fracture went through his growth plate so we are being super careful with it and praying it heals perfect and he won't have problems with it later.
Dying the Easter Eggs.
The Easter Bunny came!
The boys looking for all the eggs the Easter Bunny hid.
This year Easter was the same day as Matt's birthday so we combined the two.
Matt wanted strawberry shortcake for his birthday and I found an old recipe that Harriet had. It was very tasty.
Matt has been trying turkey hunting and needed some camo pants.
Kyle and JD doing their Easter Egg Hunt with Ken and Janie.
We love Matty too. He is such a great husband and daddy! He does so much for us.
It has been kinda a crazy couple of months but we have made it!
