Lookin For Gold

Matt decided that it was a good evening to go panning for gold the other night. Last time we went it wasn't the best spot. So we decided to go down by the train tracks. We walked up and down one side of the road, then the other side. We found some really good places to go but no way to get to them, without climbing down a cliff and wadding through a swamp.

The boys thought it was so cool to walking along the tracks.

We decided to go down the road a ways. We found another good place to get out and look.

Again we found more good spots but we would have to climb down some serious cliffs. You can't really tell in this picture but the boys and Matt are right at the edge of a cliff throwing rocks. It was all I could do to snap a picture then turn I couldn't stand to watch. Both boys are still top heavy and JD falls down at least five times a day just walking. My tummy was in knots until they stepped away from the edge.

We weren't able to do any panning because it was getting late and starting to rain. But we did find a good spot so next time we can go right to it.
