Busy, Busy! BUSY!!!

June has been a crazy busy month and it is just half over (scream). Kyle had almost a whole week of not going to pre-school so he was needing something to do. Swimming lessons came along just in time. Both boys have been totally excited to start their lessons. I didn't know how JD would do because last year I had to get in with him and he wouldn't even let go of me.

Kyle and JD getting ready to go into swimming. Kyle has to always have his goggles on. JD does too now that he has them. I'm not quite sure why JD needs them though because his hair never even gets wet.
I love their cute little chicken legs.

I had signed the boys up about a month ago and wasn't sure what level they were in so I put JD in level 2 and Kyle in level 3. About 5 minutes into the lessons Kyle came over to me, from the big pool, holding back tears and telling me that he needed help he kept going under the water. And I could tell that JD was in the wrong level because all the kids were about a foot taller than him. So I moved JD to level 1 and Kyle to level 2 and after that they loved going swimming everyday!
JD did so good, I was so proud of him. He didn't act worried at all getting into the water without me. It was fun to see him interact with the other kids without me being right there with him.

Kyle also did really good. The first couple days he got nervous getting into the big pool, but by the end he was staying in the pool instead of sitting on the edge. And I could really see improvement. I just need to take them swimming more this summer so they don't forget what they learned.
At the end of the the lessons the boys classes would get together and play "alligator, alligator, what time is it". Mostly because I think the teachers didn't know what to do with the kids the whole time. By the end of 2 weeks of this game I was even getting sick of it I'm sure the kids were.
The same day Kyle had his first T-ball game! It was AWESOME! This is Kyle and his good friend Kyler. They are warming up (can't you tell).

We were outfield first.

Kyle waving.
By this time Kyler walked from across the field to Kyle because he got board standing by himself. This is before Kyler found the greatest feather ever! That was soon after. They played with the feather in the outfield, throwing it up in the air and chasing it and then doing it again and again. We said we should take a feather pillow next time and see what a good time they would have.
Then the ball got hit their way. So it takes six of the kids to get the ball. Some of the kids get mad if they don't get it every time. Kyle thank goodness is not one of them, but he will run quite a ways to try.
Kyle getting ready for his first time batting. So excited!

The coaches pitch the ball 3 times to the kids if they don't hit it they put it on the tee.

Making it home.
Outfield again.
Getting the ball.
End of game! They did great for the first time.

This month has been CRAZY so far but we have had a good time. The boys loved swimming and learned tons. Kyle wants to go to T-ball everyday and is doing great. I guess this is just the first of lots of great summers running around not getting anything done but putting gas in the car so we can make it to the next thing. I think I am going to love it!
