JD's Very First Day of School!

JD has been counting down the days for a month. He has been totally pumped for his pre-school to start. The week before he actually went to school his teachers came to the house to meet him. This was a important day for him. He made sure all his toys were picked up and that he had on a nice shirt. When they got to the house he went to the door and opened the door for them.
JD's teachers are Miss Anita and Miss Jamie. Miss Jamie was one of Kyle's teachers and we love her. She is so good and just loves the kids.

So sad for me that my little boy is leaving to go to school.

When we finally got into the class I was able to stay with him for a while to play with him and was able to read a book. Then the parents had to leave to go to some classes while the kids did their thing. I snuck back and took a few pictures through the window while they were making their name tags.

He is just a big boy now. I'm not sure if I am ok with that.

When we got done with our classes we got to go back into the room for story time and out for recess. Deacon is in JD's class and Tyson will be there on Wednesday. It will be nice for JD to have some friends in class already....as for Miss Jamie I don't know if she thinks having those three in the same class will be a great time.

Then came the moment JD has been waiting for, for years! It was time for recess! He was the door holder today so anytime they went anywhere he held the door for everyone. When we got to the school he asked me if he needed to go straight to recess because that is what Kyle does when he goes to school. I told him he would have to wait till the end of his day. JD has watched Kyle go to pre-school and have a great time, go to Kindergarten and have a good time and now it was finally his turn.

There he goes. Miss Jamie's class was the first ones out on the play ground so he pretty well had a ball.

When we were walking out I asked JD how his day was. He knows I always ask Kyle what he had for lunch so when I asked JD he was already for his answer. He just talked and talked about his day. He told me that he asked Kyle what happens if you get in trouble at pre-school. He said that Kyle told him he had to stay in for recess, then he gave me a very serious look. Staying in for recess is serious business.

It was so hard for me to take him to school but he was just so happy I couldn't be sad. I will be lonely in the mornings by myself, he has been my little buddy for so long. I just hate having both boys grow up so fast, but yet I love to see them grow.
