Kyle Is 6!!!

It doesn't seem possible that Kyle should be 6! I can't believe it. He went back and forth trying to decide what kind of party he wanted. He finally settled on a worm party. I don't know where he came up with it but I was happy. It was the easiest birthday cake I have ever done.

He was pretty happy with the cake. It was so chocolaty.

We had his party on Tuesday night and had Ken and Janie and some friends over. I didn't really want to do another friend from school party, not until he gets alittle older anyway. The kids played for a little while then we had some dinner.

Then of course the cake.

Then he opened presents. He got a coloring book, a Nerf gun, some awesome Hot Wheels, some Tom and Jerry movies, a bat and K'nex. It was nice because there wasn't a ton of toys.

Friday was Kyle's actual birthday. Matt has been wanting to go eat lunch with him, so he decided to go on his birthday. He took him some McDonald's. Matt had a pretty good time and Kyle couldn't quit smiling, he thought he was pretty cool. I had to substitute that day so I was able to take a picture.
Later that day I took in some cupcakes to Kyle's class.
He had a ribbon on that said "It is my birthday. I am special." He wore it all day he loves it.
He helped me hand out all the cupcakes then sat down to eat it. All the kids had to wait till he took the first bite to eat theirs. It was so cute.
JD asked me today if Kyle was going to be in 1st grade now. I told him no not yet and Kyle said that Monday was his last day. I had to explain that just because he was 6 didn't mean he was going right to the 1st grade. I think they got it.
Kyle is such a good boy. We love him so much he is so sweet to everyone and always wants to please us. I am sad that he is already 6 but I'm excited to see what is next.
