Christmas Tree Night
The Monday after Thanksgiving is when we usually put up our Christmas Tree. This year we were a little uncertain if we were going to be able to do it because of Matt working graveyards. I didn't know if he would feel like putting the tree up. I'm pretty sure he saw the look in his little families eyes, because we all wanted it up so bad. So while I went to get Kyle from school he went and got us our tree. Every year we watch Christmas Vacation, eat shrimp, and oysters, crackers, chips and dip and hot chocolate and egg nog. It really is a lot of food for four people but it seems to get eaten. Kyle and JD pretty much did the tree by themselves after I did the lights and beads and the high ornaments. I put out all the other decorations, and Matt watched the movie.
They were kinda out of control with excitement about their tree.

Our tree is, I think, the biggest one we have ever had. It is huge and smells so good, I can always smell it when I walk in the house. We had a good time putting it up and love our own little family's traditions that we have started, the boys seem to remember from year to year what we will be doing.
