Kyle Is VIP and Jammies For Japan

Last week Kyle was finally the VIP in his class. This means he got to be Mrs. Goehl's special helper all week and bring home a blue backpack with a Lion named Leo in it, a book about lions, some hot wheels, and a few other things to take back. He filled out a paper that was all about him, his name, something he loves (his family), favorite food (pizza), What he wants to be when he grows up (a cowboy). Then he had to take some pictures of himself and his family. He had a good time picking out some fun pictures. Kyle and Leo getting ready to go back to school. Kyle is wearing his jammies to school because they had a Jammies for Japan day. It was so cool, you could wear your jammies and caps to school if you brought a dollar for each. All the money raised went to the Red Cross to help the people in Japan. The school raised $700. Kyle thought it was pretty neat to be able to wear his cap all day. All week he was talking about wearing his jammies on Friday. When Friday rolled around he got pretty nervous, he didn't want to be the only one wearing jammies to school. I told him that lots of kids were going to. He finally relaxed when he saw the other kids. He was asking all about Japan on the way to school and that night he saw a little crack in the ceiling above his bed and asked me if our house was going to break. Poor little boy, he usually is not a worrier.

Mrs. Goehl also put a journal in the bag so the kids can tell what they did all week with Leo. Kyle wrote about when we went to the park.
