JD is in Kindergarten......I know he should be home with him mom and never go to school. I tried that and he was not having it. He wanted to go to school and never look back. He didn't get to go until Tuesday, so when we were getting Kyle's things ready on Sunday he was having a hard time not doing it too. I told him we will get your stuff ready on Monday since you don't go until Tuesday. So Monday morning as soon as he got up he set out his clothes for the next day. Silly boy.
I really can't take it. He has been my little buddy at home for so long. He is getting to be such a big boy.Off they go. JD's backpack had all of his supplies in it so it was super heavy.
He was off as soon as we hit the back side of the school and it took me a minute to find out where he went. He know the playground pretty good. We have been with Kyle some and when Janie has watched the boys sometimes they go out to play. So he was right at home.
He also thinks he is pretty awesome because his brother lets him play with him and his friends.
When Kyle went to Kindergarten I totally forgot to tell him that there was going to be a bell and all the kids would run to where they needed to be. He got a worried look on his face and almost cried. I felt so bad. Not JD, I told him that a bell would ring and he told me he already knew all about it. And he did the bell rang and he went right where we put his backpack by his room.
JD found his friend Rhett, they are in the same class.
Mrs. Bohling, JD and Rhett. I think that Mrs. Bohling is going to be great. JD was so excited when he found out he got her for his teacher.
JD and Rhett sat by each other the first day. I had a feeling it might not last. They do not sit by each other anymore.
JD was trying to look at this book with a sad little boy. He really is a kind hearted little boy. I would say I didn't cry and I was just fine leaving him.....but that would be a lie. Mrs. Bohling came around to all the parents to ask how each one would be getting home each day and I almost started crying then. Next I got up and took him over to the rug and sat down with him for just a minute and got up and I must have looked on the verge because Mrs. Bohling came over and gave me a big hug and I lost it. I couldn't even make it out the hallway. Poor JD was probably humiliated that his mom was making a scene.
The end of his first day! I was so happy to see him walk out the door. He had a great first day. The second day of school he had a Star Behavior Day. Which is a very big deal. I asked him how he got it and he said he was quite all day and paid attention when the teacher was talking and followed directions. He has not been able to wipe the smile off his face since the first day. He just really loves it. Me on the other had miss him and Kyle like crazy. I went in to help in the classes on Friday and the ladies in the office asked if I was doing anything fun without my boys and I told them not really just the same stuff I just don't have anyone to talk to in the backseat anymore. I am just glad both boys love school and it is not a fight to get them to go or I would probably not make them.
