When we got home from the beach we didn't slow down much.
This is a neat little path that Uncle Paul has made behind his house. Matt thought is was pretty funny to tickle the back of my neck with weeds while we were walking and talking about all the little bugs in the woods.Just trying to see more that five feet into the woods. Not possible.
The next day we went to the Meuseum of Natural History. There was lots of neat things to see.
This is a real crazy long gun they used to kill alligators.
There was also quite a few very nasty things. A salamandor and snakes.
There was a butterfly room. I have always wanted to go in one. You had to go into a small room before you could open the door to the butterflies so none would get out.
There was also a sloth in there but he was napping.
If we had not done enough we went to the zoo the next day. It is such a cool zoo.
This is the elephants field.
The rino's were awesome. They are so big.
At the meuseum there was a thing you could push and make the sounds of different frogs. The bullfrogs sound so wierd so when we heard them at the zoo we knew just what is was.
Lemers.
It was a warm day and the animals were not quite as active as they might have been if it was a little cooler. The apes were lazy anyway I think.
Bamboons. Strang little things.
This is a condor....we think.
The bamboons were going crazy for some reason while we were seeing the lazy lions.
Some kind of pig.
We finally found the giraffs and zebras. I don't know what was wrong with my camera that day.
JD and Kyle.
Just a whole bunch of lilly pads.
This is a cardinal. I took a picture of it because when we were at the beach I was getting ready in the bathroom and JD came in and said there is a hummingbird in the living room. He was so serious it was making me laugh. So I went into see what was going on and noticed that they had left the sliding glass door open. Then I looked at Matt because he was sound asleep and the cardinal was just sitting on his foot. It was so funny. I wanted to get my camera but the bird flew out right when I moved.
I was so glad we saw the Grizzly bear. JD loves grizzly bears.
A whole bunch of honey bees.
JD, Nathan and Kyle.
Riding the bus back to the start of the zoo. We were finally done we were all getting hot and feeling like the animals.
